The only women’s bout at Cage 31 was a flyweight contest between Suvi Salmimies and Lucie Pudilova. Salmimies was looking to rebound from her loss at Cage 30 and Pudilova was looking to stay undefeated. The fight went full three rounds and judge’s declared Pudilova victorious via split decision.
Niko Myllynen is no stranger to the Cage audience. He’s fought with the promotion a couple of times and is known for spectacular finishes. When Myllynen is victorious, he finishes his opponents. On saturday he faced Ash Griffiths from the UK, also known for finishing his opponent. To no one’s surprise this fight never progressed
It’s become a tradition at Cage events that Saku Heikkola starts the evening and it works. Heikkola always forces his opponents to exchange and participate in a great fight. Milan Markovic fought back, but Heikkola was declared as the winner after three rounds of fighting. Heikkola is now riding an impressive five fight win streak.
